The internet is the base for all digital platforms, and podcasting is an audio-based platform that imparts information and knowledge to audiences. Podcasts are similar and dissimilar to radio; however, there is a stark distinction between podcasts and radio programs. The former is not time-sensitive; the latter is. For example, one needs to tune in to a radio at a specific time, but listening to a podcast does not require any specified time; that sets it apart from a radio program aired at specified times.

Regardless of their particular subjects, podcasts impart knowledge and information to audiences. Provided they have an internet connection, they can listen to podcast content anytime, anywhere. Lately, podcasts have played a pivotal role in enhancing education and equipping students with extra informational resources prepared, recorded, edited, and uploaded by teachers. These podcasts vary from field to field. The aim is to provide students and the general public with free, informative and educational podcasts, where they can listen to them whenever they want. Isn’t that an amazing opportunity? I think the answer is in the affirmative.
With all kinds of fields and genres, podcasts are omnipresent. One can tune into podcasts ranging from—storytelling, writing, interviewing, discussing, and debating—and that person can pause, rewind, or forward any particular segment of a podcast. While some people consume readily available podcast content, content creators toil to create the audio content, edit it, and upload it on a hosting platform with an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed for distribution. The production and utilization of podcasts have been widespread since 2014; now, over 6.5 million podcasts are reported to be operational in the world.
Podcasts have been incredible tools to both students and ordinary people seeking knowledge and enlightenment. The internet and its accessories are amazing, indeed; they have wowed the world, and nobody knows where the internet is headed or what other offspring it will beget.
